Case Study: Blue Comet Café

Background
A new internet start-up, Blue Comet Café, aims to offer high-end music videos featuring new and established artists. The site grants artists wider exposure through a unique online venue, and serves as a destination for those seeking new music online.

Objectives
Blue Comet Café chose Mosaic Interactive to create its web presence; primarily, the site would promote Blue Comet Café artists through state-of-the-art music video technology. It would also enable users to purchase selected videos for download and establish Blue Comet Café on a national level through an internet marketing campaign tailored for Google and Yahoo.

Solution
Mosaic Interactive designed and developed a powerful look-and-feel that makes the music videos the central focus of the site. Next, Mosaic provided a logical navigational structure so it is easy-to-use.

Second, Mosaic Interactive provided the backbone to the music videos by producing the video and developing the video player interface, using Flash technology. Flash allowed Mosaic Interactive to provide a video and audio experience that is at once functional and intense. The site also considers Blue Comet Café's business objectives: users are able to enjoy the videos for free, but Mosaic Interactive provided direction for the creation of ecommerce functionality to allow users to download and purchase videos.

Finally, Mosaic Interactive performed extensive Search Engine Optimization. Coupled with a strong Search Engine Marketing campaign, this effort will market Blue Comet Café on a national level.
